Domestikasi Jamur Kuping (Auricularia auricula) dengan Media Tumbuh Serbuk Gergaji Kayu Jati (Tectona grandis)

Jamur merupakan organisme heterotrop yang artinya untuk keperluan metabolisme hidupnya membutuhkan zat-zat organik berasal dari lain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pertumbuhan miselium jamur kuping (Auricularia auricula) dengan menggunakan media tumbuh serbuk gergaji kayu jati (Tectona grandis) tanpa perlakuan khusus sebelumnya. Domestikasi dilakukan prosedur pencampuran media, pengomposan, pasteurisasi, pembuatan baglog, inokulasi dan inkubasi. Hasil ini: (1) Baglog berhasil sebanyak 19 baglog atau 63.33% 30 diteliti (2) Rata-rata tinggi pada 7,73 cm. Kesimpulan: Serbuk dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam domestikasi (A. auricula), namun agar hasilnya maksimal harus melalui tertentu menghilangkan zat ekstraktifnya.
